Canada trip - Day one

May 12, 2016 - Yesterday we woke up at 4:00 and staggered to the car. Those of us who were not driving, or trying to keep the driver awake, got a few precious hours of sleep until we got to the Charlotte airport. After much hustle and bustle and running around, we finally got through a tortuous check in and made it to our first flight - Charlotte to Chicago.

Mama and daddy slept, we two girls watched musicals and Morgen played with bear dolls until we landed in Chicago, where we had only a few minutes to reach out next flight - Chicago to Seattle.

On the way to Seattle we slept, took pictures of Mount Rainier (photobombed by the plane wing), and did math with daddy.

Before our last flight - Seattle to Edmonton - we had a two hour wait in which we ate, talked, ate, walked around, ate, goofed off, ate and listened to music.

Again, we spent the flight taking pictures of the beautiful landscape until it got to cloudy to see and we were forced to turn our focus to things within the plane. We barely managed to retain our sanity by listening to broadway musical soundtracks and reading stories by Corrie Ten Boom.

After what seemed like forever, we reached the Edmonton airport. After throwing away all our food (“no poultry or fruit,” the man told us, and all we had were apples and chicken sandwiches) we met our host, Mr. Roger Rinker, and hopped in his mini van for the three hour ride back to his reservation, Sunchild First Nation.
