John decided just before we left that we would not go to Italy and Germany but straight into Switzerland. How beautiful it is! The flowers and the chalets and the mountains all combine into a wonderland for the eyes. We rode the gondola up to the top of Schilthorn Mountain and ate a spot of lunch at the 360 rotating restaurant. We then spent the entire afternoon and evening hiking back down the mountain. The loveliest hike we have ever had. The wild flowers are amazing! They change at every turn of the trail - so vibrant and beautiful. It's no wonder the Swiss people love flowers as they do. Oh, and did I mention? John carried his fiddle the whole way so I could video him playing "Edelweiss."
